The role of Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the investigation, analysis and conversion of internal customer needs into effective and sustainable technical solutions. This role will support the Global Channel and Partner Marketing organizations to deliver programs and solutions to enable Extreme Partners. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated capability in collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to deliver results. Being well-versed in requirements definition and management, as well as excellent written and verbal communication is key.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge
- Lead the IT delivery of key programs or initiatives for the Global Channel or Partner Marketing organizations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide the best technical solutions to support internal user and external partner experiences.
- Understand the needs of our Partner organization to develop program scope, cost and timelines while meeting the business goals and on-going business value realization.
- Partner with the IT technical resources, manage the technical design diligence process for large programs, track technical dependencies, schedule reviews and pre-reviews, and engage with the right stakeholders across various organizations
- Easily fulfill various project roles leveraging technical proficiencies and domain expertise to understand the business objectives and discuss complex technical requirements, prioritization, trade-offs to meet business needs against the company roadmap.
- Gather business requirements from business stakeholders, convert to functional IT system requirements and/or user stories, collaborate and align with fellow IT Business Systems Analysts, and guide development teams through the development process
- Execute test scenarios for system and integration testing, and support the Global Process Owners within the business on robust user acceptance testing
- Manage the assigned portfolio of work with the Partner team where technical requirements and work is required of IT including migrations, deprecations, and tech stack simplification
- Support the development of training material, as needed
- Stay current with technology platform updates, industry best practices, and emerging trends. Share knowledge and best practices with the team
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, testing, deployment, and support
- Creation and management of project plan on smaller projects, as needed
Your Experience
- BA/BS degree in computer related field plus 10+ years’ of experience in Salesforce.com Sales Cloud, Partner Communities, and/or Partner Relationship Management and portal applications
- Experience working in large strategic programs focused on digital partner engagement, digital transformation and technology solutions involved in a digital ecosystem supporting the Partner lifecycle
- Understands design-driven user journeys and signals and how the back-end systems power the data
- Excellent written and oral technical and business communication and people skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and present to Business and IT Leadership
- Ability to communicate functional information to non-technical users and business process and functional requirements to technical resources
- Experience with full-cycle project methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a track record of taking ownership, and influencing results
- At least one Salesforce.com certification recommended, including but not limited to Business Analyst, Consultant, Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or Architect
- Tools experience should include Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and project & portfolio management software such as Smartsheet or MS Project
- Perform Salesforce system configuration tasks and data maintenance, as needed
