Senior Business Intelligence Developer - Hybrid Onsite/Remote
Job Description
In collaboration with business stakeholders, designs and develops custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, metrics and reports. Provides expertise on data analysis, identification of data sources, and modification of data architecture as necessary. Plans, conducts, and guides the analysis of business intelligence initiatives
Job Responsibility
- Profile, understand anomalies in the source data, and communicate with source data owners
- Data mapping to build ETL process
- Consults with decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards.
- Ensures collaboration with development teams to design business intelligence solutions to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval.
- Ensures collaboration with end users in the design and development of custom dashboards, metrics, and reports.
- Guides the analysis and evaluation of end users reporting needs and translates business requirements into detailed technical design and programming specifications.
- Conducts data analysis in support of resolution of production issues.
- Coordinates with other IT groups and departments in the resolution of problem calls.
- Documents all report related activities including user requests, report specification, development, modification, testing and on-going production support.
- Creates dashboard and reporting solutions to meet user needs and requirements.
- Ensures development of entire dashboard life cycle including coding, unit testing, bug fixes and report design.
- Employees operate under limited guidance and work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors. - Provide consultation on complex projects including tools functionality, visualization and data considerations.
- Collaborate with users to understand their analytic objectives and requirements to develop requirements and plans for the implementation of reporting and analytic solutions.
Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.
HIGHLY PREFERRED
- 3-5 years of hands-on data analysis experience, primarily focused on healthcare claims and associated datasets.
- 3-5 years of experience in Claims Data Warehousing.
- In-depth knowledge of the end-to-end healthcare claims lifecycle and related data models.
- 3-5 years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development experience.
- 2-3 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically BigQuery, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
