Senior Business Development Manager – Energy & Grid Solutions (Americas) Remote (U.S.) | Full-Time | $120,000 – $200,000 Base + Incentives

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Americas within the power, utilities, and grid automation sector.
This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on new business development, strategic partnerships, and complex solution sales across utilities, OEMs, and energy stakeholders.
The Senior Business Development Manager will lead sales strategy and execution for advanced grid automation, power management, and digital energy solutions.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise and enterprise sales leadership, with the ability to engage customers, shape solutions, and drive revenue growth in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
Strategic Sales & Growth
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across utilities and energy clients
• Build and manage a high-value pipeline with accurate forecasting
Client & Partner Engagement • Build and maintain relationships with:
– Utility companies
– OEMs
– Engineering consultants
– Energy stakeholders
• Act as a trusted advisor, aligning solutions with client business and technical needs
Account Planning & Market Expansion • Develop strategic account plans across the Americas
• Identify market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities
• Expand presence within key accounts and regions
Solution Selling & Collaboration • Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to shape solutions
• Lead technical presentations and client discussions
• Align offerings with grid modernization and digital transformation initiatives
Negotiation & Deal Execution • Lead contract negotiations and close complex deals
• Structure agreements that support long-term partnerships
• Deliver against annual order booking targets
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (MBA preferred)
• 10–15+ years of business development or sales experience
• Proven success in power, utilities, or industrial automation sectors
• Strong understanding of:
– Grid automation
– Power systems
– Energy infrastructure technologies
• Track record of achieving revenue targets and driving growth
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
