Why This Role is Exciting

As a Business Apps Engineer, you’ll architect and scale an enterprise automation ecosystem that pairs process workflows with emerging AI technology to transform how the business operates. Partnering with GTM, Finance, Product, HR and other cross-functional teams, you’ll identify high-impact process automation opportunities and design end-to-end solutions using AI features from our existing tech stack and other tools like workato, n8n, generative/agentic AI, MCP servers, etc.

You’ll also establish standards for secure and reliable automation while shaping an AI-first strategy. As a strategic business partner, you’ll translate AI automation into measurable outcomes, driving speed and innovation while positioning the company at the forefront of AI-powered automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of core enterprise platforms (eg. Salesforce, Workday, Netsuite, etc.) and emerging AI technology to build AI-powered automation for manual business processes

  • Design and maintain integrations and orchestration layers using iPaaS automation platforms, REST APIs, and webhooks.

  • Apply generative and agentic AI to automated workflows to support data-driven reasoning and improve how processes interpret, route and act on business data.

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate automation and AI capabilities into well-scoped initiatives with clear success metrics and delivery plans.

  • Research, evaluate, and adopt emerging AI and automation technologies, including agentic patterns and platform-native AI features, to ensure solutions remain practical, secure and aligned with business needs.

  • Continuously assess capabilities within existing enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite) to identify opportunities to replace custom solutions with native or lower-complexity features.

  • Ensure responsible and compliant use of AI, working with Security, Legal, and IT to address data governance, access controls, and risk management.

Attributes for a Successful Candidate

  • 8+ years of experience administering and supporting enterprise business systems and SaaS platforms

  • Strong knowledge of SaaS enterprise applications and system administration fundamentals

  • Experience with iPaaS and workflow automation platforms, such as Workato, n8n, or similar tools, used to build and operate cross-system automations

  • Experience designing and implementing API-based integrations, with practical knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks and authentication methods

  • Working knowledge of AI technologies, including generative AI and LLM-based capabilities and how they can be applied to SaaS business processes

  • Familiarity with common SaaS business processes, such as lead-to-cash, quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay and people operations

Our Company Values

  • Customer obsession: It starts and ends here. Consistently ask yourself how what you’re doing creates value for our customers. It’s a mindset.

  • Gritty resilience: Make it happen. Find a way. Move fast, stay positive, and do what it takes.

  • Drive innovation: Create the future. Continuously improve what exists and invent what’s next.

  • Win, together: One team. No silos, no egos. Drive to be the best and support each other’s success.

  • Growth mindset: 10x, not 10%. Think in orders of magnitude, not increments. Seek feedback, learn, and improve.

Perks*

  • Launch a career at one of the fastest-growing SaaS companies in North America!

  • Live your best life (LYBL)! $200/mo for anything that enhances your life

  • Comprehensive employee health coverage (all locations)

  • 401K with match (US) or pension with match (UK)

  • Competitive compensation & bonus program

  • Flexible Vacation (US exempt & CA) or 25 days (UK)

  • Time off for your birthday & volunteering
