The opportunity

As a member of the engineering team for Platonic, you will be instrumental in building the technology that powers the future of digital finance. You will work with cutting-edge advancements in blockchain, smart contracts, and Generative AI to help create a more decentralized, accessible, and secure global economy.

What you will be doing

• Design and develop enterprise-scale, full-stack software solutions that utilize Platonic’s proprietary blockchain stack, smart contracts, as well as other prominent blockchain protocols (e.g., EVM-compatible protocols), and the latest Generative AI tools.
• Innovate with blockchain protocols, smart contracts, and Generative AI, enhancing asset lifecycle automation.
• Deliver end-to-end technical design and development of technology solutions aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate closely with business partners and product owners to present and refine innovative technical solutions.
• Collaborate with all other team members of the engineering organization to implement and refine agile methodology stories and tasks to ensure project efficiency and high-quality delivery.

What you will need

• 7+ years in full-stack software development with enterprise-scale solutions.
• 3+ years of experience in technical solutions design and application architecture.
• 2+ years of hands-on software development with major blockchain protocols and smart contract languages.
• Experience in research, innovation, and comparative analysis, especially in the blockchain space.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for commercial products.
• Proven experience with agile development methodologies on significant projects.

• Proactive, eager to tackle technical challenges through research and hands-on experimentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to pivot and adapt to emerging priorities.
• Expertise in coding with Python and Node.js. Experience with Golang, Rust, and Haskell, as well as familiarity with compilation to WASM is a plus.
• Skilled and eager to explore new tools and frameworks used in blockchain protocols (primarily EVM-compatible), smart contract languages (primarily Solidity; Vyper is a plus), and Generative AI.
• Experience in front-end development with frameworks like Next.js, Nest.js, and React.
• Familiarity with modern developer tools, including VS Code and Git for efficient coding and collaboration.
• Solid understanding of microservices frameworks, databases, messaging platforms (Kafka), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm).
