About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing data platform team. In this role, you’ll architect and build scalable, high-performance backend systems that power advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What You’ll Do
Design and implement cloud-native backend services for large-scale data processing and analytics
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to turn complex business needs into elegant technical solutions
Build and optimize **data models** and pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability
Drive **cost-efficient** and **secure** use of cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS)
What We’re Looking For (Must have)
5+ years of experience as a backend engineer, ideally in data-intensive environments
Strong proficiency in Python (preferred), with additional experience in Java or Scala a plus
Deep experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP, and its data ecosystem (e.g., ECS, Fargate, S3, Redshift, Lambda)
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to mentor others
Nice to Have
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience working with streaming data, event-driven architectures, or real-time analytics
Hands-on experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Dask, Spark, Hadoop)
Exposure to machine learning workflows, data science tools, or BI platforms
Contributions to open-source projects or technical blogs
