It is a very exciting time of growth for our Azure Management Services team, and we are currently hiring a Senior Azure Engineer to provide leadership for strategic accounts.  

This is a remote position but candidates must live in Austin, TX.

What will this role entail?

In this senior level role, you will be part of Quisitive’s growing Azure Managed Services team. You will work with some great minds to design, implement, and operate cloud solutions that meet customer needs for scalability, compliance, reliability, security, and performance. You will deploy Azure based solutions and technologies across a wide range of industries. You will serve as Enterprise Architect and Cloud Ops Lead for your clients and drive security, cost, and operational best practices.   This role is located in Austin, TX.

What’s required? 

Heavy involvement with customer architecture including the following: 

  • Engage directly with customers at the Director/CIO/CTO level, supporting executive briefings and innovation partnerships
  • Working with Quisitive AMS Ops team and Client’s Ops Support team(s) to achieve defined objectives and metrics
  • Define architectural and operational roadmaps including Cloud Adoption, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, Compliance, and Security
  • Develop a deep understanding of how our customers use the Azure platform, their cloud adoption position, and their use of compute, storage, database, network and modern workloads 
  • Architect and design solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements 
  • Create and review Azure architecture and solution design artifacts 
  • Drive strategic and complex projects, with executive visibility and many critical dependencies 
  • Manage processes related to modernization, architecture, disaster recovery and business transformation 
  • Identify, communicate and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues and decisions throughout the project lifecycle 
  • Comfort with tooling and developing specialized solutions for customers 
  • Assessing on-premise and Cloud infrastructure to capture current operating costs and propose future improvements to customer technical and business teams 
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to your peers and less senior consultants
  • Assist with development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures to improve client support processes and experience
  • Assist with day to day operations as well as larger initiatives

Required Technology Experience: 

Deep Understanding of:

  • Azure Infrastructure as a Service – Compute, Storage, Network, Data, Firewall
  • Azure Policy 
  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud 
  • Log Analytics/Azure Monitor 
  • Microsoft Entra ID 
  • Overall understanding of key concepts of Azure 
  • Identity and access management
  • Security and Compliance
  • Azure App Service, Azure SQL, Azure Container Registry, Azure Synapse 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Platform as a Service – Databrick, Fabric,  
  • Infrastructure as Code – Bicep, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager Templates, Azure Custom Policies 
  • Azure DevOps 
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and ITSM toolsets
  • Experience with IT Consulting
  • Experience with large IT operations

Certifications: 

  • Required: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate. A willingness to obtain these in the first month will be accepted. 
  • Nice to have: Microsoft Certified – Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
