Who We Are

At Certn, we’re revolutionizing background screening with The World’s Easiest Background Check—fast, global, and powered by tech. We’re not about outdated processes and red tape. We’re about innovation, speed, and impact. If you’re looking for a place where ownership, collaboration, and creativity thrive, this is it.

The Role:

We’re on the hunt for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to architect, build, and optimize the infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that power Certn’s cloud-native platform. You’ll ensure reliability, scalability, and security across dev, staging, and production environments—collaborating closely with engineering, security, and product teams to streamline deployments and automate infrastructure as code.

What you will be doing:

  • Infrastructure as Code: Design, implement, and maintain Terraform-based IaC to provision and manage Azure resources predictably and at scale.

  • CI/CD & Automation: Build, optimize, and support Azure DevOps pipelines for fast, secure, and reliable application delivery—automating compliance checks, secrets management, and audit trails.

  • Cloud Operations & Monitoring: Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure environments, implementing observability practices that keep production humming. Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support critical services and ensure platform reliability during and outside business hours

  • Collaboration & Support: Partner with software engineers to provide infrastructure guidance, improve developer experience, and resolve deployment/runtime issues in record time.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • DevOps Expertise: 5+ years in DevOps or software engineering roles, with deep Azure proficiency (compute, networking, storage, and security).

  • IaC Mastery: Hands-on experience designing and managing cloud resources via Terraform (or equivalent).

  • CI/CD Craftsman: Proven track record of building and maintaining robust Azure DevOps pipelines that balance speed with security.

  • Mentorship & Leadership: Experience leading complex technical initiatives and mentoring junior engineers on best practices.

  • Compliance & Security Focus: Familiarity with implementing guardrails, access controls, and automated compliance checks.

Why You Should be Excited:

  • Vacation Mode On: 4 weeks of paid vacation + additional health & wellness time off.

  • Health and Benefits: Comprehensive Package for you and your dependents.

  • Flex Life: Fully remote setup with a home-office allowance and flex stipend.

  • Growth Fuel: Budget to attend industry conferences, pursue certifications, or take advanced courses.

  • Impact & Ownership: Own critical system components that directly affect customer experience and platform stability.

  • Team Energy: Collaborate with passionate engineers who value craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and collective success.
