About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and seasoned business development leader to join our Ads Product Partnerships team and focus on accelerating, expanding, and enabling our Instacart Ads roadmap through innovative partnerships, with a particular focus on data and programmatic partnerships.
In this role, you’ll develop impactful partnership strategies, negotiate groundbreaking deals, and serve as the relationship owner, managing high-level partner relationships to drive advertising revenue growth. You’ll be a trusted partner and internal resource across Instacart, working closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, and Sales to turn strategic visions into actionable results in a highly collaborative environment. Your leadership and expertise will shape how we grow our advertising capabilities, contributing directly to the success of Instacart’s advertising ecosystem.

Comprising sharp, resourceful, results-oriented individuals, we focus on unlocking growth opportunities, delivering cost efficiencies, and pushing forward Instacart’s strategic priorities. We build and manage relationships with some of Instacart’s most critical business partners, working cross-functionally and collaboratively to bring new partnerships to life.

About The Job
- Design, pursue, and scale first-of-a-kind partnerships with major programmatic, and data platforms.
- Develop partnership strategies for new advertising initiatives, with a key focus on retail media, data partnerships and off-site ads.
- Manage a portfolio of partners end-to-end, including identifying opportunities, negotiating terms, signing agreements, and overseeing successful launches.
- Own senior-level partner relationships, ensuring alignment and driving impactful collaboration.
- Lead business reviews with partners while delivering measurable results.
- Work as a strategic thought partner to internal teams across Product, Engineering, Sales, and more, providing insights to set clear product goals and roadmap priorities.
About You
We’re looking for a bold thinker, deal-maker and skilled relationship manager who thrives in uncharted territory.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of business development and/or partnerships experience in programmatic and data industries
- Established relationships at Demand Side Platforms, Supply Side Platforms, and Data Platforms
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset, with a history of solving first-of-a-kind problems in fast-paced environments.
- Experience building and enabling direct and/or programmatic partnerships alongside internal sales teams.
- Proven ability to ramp up quickly in new domains and craft effective strategies.
- Experienced in managing complex, senior-level partnerships across organizations.
- Sharp analytical abilities paired with high-level strategic thinking.
- Demonstrated track record of hands-on execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Retail, Grocery, or E-commerce industries is a plus.
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving work environment.
- Proactive and curious, willing to explore beyond conventional solutions.
- Well-equipped to navigate ambiguity and chart direction with limited guidance.
- MBA degree preferred but not required
