JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for the development, upgrades, and deliveryof complex Broadcast & OTT Systems (i.e. BroadcastScheduling, Metadata, Asset & Content RightsManagement, Advertisement Management & VODPublishing Systems) within On Premise and Cloud.
- To perform system integration with 3rd party systemssuch as Broadcast & Playout Automation, Non-LinearEditing Systems, Content Management System (CMS),Broadcast Headend, DRM and all other associated systemsdeployed On Premise and Cloud.
- To develop technical software development designspecifications documents and software development work(coding & scripting) that will address gapsidentified before, during and after system deployment
- To perform technical project planning and coordinatesystem deployment of 3rd party systems and allactivities impacting systems & workflowimplementation in timely manner.
- To perform systems commissioning, integration &acceptance testing, and handover to technical supportteam (i.e. include detail technical documentation andsystem training to ensure technical support and/oroperational staff are sufficiently equipped &skilled).
- To apply in-depth technical knowledge and engineeringprinciples to provide solutions and recommendations tocontinually improve the Broadcast/OTT Business &Metadata Systems.
- Participate in systems performance and capacity planfor future growth requirements
- Produce, develop, and maintain technical audit report,network diagram and systems’ logical drawing, report ofattended case and resolution rates as well as otherreports as and when required.
- To supervise associate engineers working in the sameteam or Project
Requirements:
- A fast learner with a Bachelor Degree in ComputerScience, Information Technology, Network, Electrical& Electronics or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 3- 5 years’ working experience inIT/Broadcast with experience as a team lead orsupervisory role.
- Have hands-on experience in Windows Servers (2008 andabove), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft WSUS,Microsoft SQL Server, Mc Afee, and Linux servers.
- Knowledge in database system (SQL & MYSQL), SQLscripting, backend testing and API testing i.e. Postman& SoapUI
- Experience in TV Broadcast, IPTV, OTT or DigitalMedia/Web Hosting environment is an added advantage.
- Knowledge and Professional Certification in CloudComputing (i.e. AWS), Networking i.e. CCNA is an addedadvantage.
- Able to understand failure mechanisms of complexcomputer based systems.
- Effectively apply communication skills to build andmaintain internal relationships.
- Must be willing to work on irregular hours or onweekends to complete critical assignments.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
