Overview
We’re looking for a data-driven, analytical Total Rewards professional to help shape and scale Forward’s global Total Rewards programs. In this role, you’ll build the foundation of our compensation strategy, strengthen data integrity and systems, and manage the day-to-day operations that keep our programs running smoothly.
The ideal candidate is someone who loves digging into data, designing structures that make sense, spotting trends, and collaborating across teams to drive meaningful impact. They have deep expertise in Canadian compensation and benefits and experience supporting a global Total Rewards framework. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that will play a key part in aligning our Total Rewards strategy with our performance-based culture ensuring our programs not only attract and retain great talent, but also reward growth, results, and impact across the organization.
Job Duties:
Manage the full-cycle compensation and total rewards initiatives
Manage and improve compensation processes, including job architecture, salary reviews, pay equity analyses, market competitiveness, and performance-based compensation strategies
Administer annual compensation, incentive, bonus, and equity programs with precision and insight
Leverage salary surveys and analyze market data on a recurring basis to guide compensation decisions
Serve as a trusted advisor for compensation guidance, providing data, insights, and recommendations for compensation and benefits decisions
Provide insights and recommendations on our benefits program, analyzing benefits utilization data and market trends to assess the competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of current offerings
Support administration of total rewards programming, including the annual open enrollment process, and maintain compliance with relevant and local regulations
Partner with the Senior Manager, Total Rewards to translate the data and execute on strategic business decisions that attract talent, promote retention, and incentivize employees
Build dashboards or reporting tools to analyze compensation trends, such as offer activity and internal pay equity
Maintain compliance with relevant compensation and benefits laws and policies
Ensure accurate data entry and integrity within the HRIS and other systems related to compensation and benefits
Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, Finance, Recruiting, and Legal to drive decision-consistency, and provide market-aligned offer guidance
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in Compensation or Total Rewards
Bachelors Degree in HR, Business, Finance, or other related field
Advanced data and analytical skills – the ability to collect, interpret, and present complex data is critical
Proficiency with spreadsheet software (like Excel) for tasks such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables. Working knowledge of analytics dashboard tools, such as Tableau, preferred
Deep knowledge of compensation frameworks, pay structures, job leveling, benchmarking, pay equity practices, and total rewards strategy (US and Canada required)
Global compensation experience and experience working in a global organization (around 500+ employees) preferred
Experience with HRIS and compensation tools such as Rippling, Payscale, and Pave preferred
Working knowledge of equity compensation and the ability to support equity programs (incentive plans, options, documentation)
Exceptional attention to detail, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills are a must
Strong understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., local labor laws, FLSA, and pay equity)
