Flashpoint is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst II to join our team in a remote capacity within the United States. This position is tailored for an experienced intelligence professional who excels at solving complex operational challenges, uncovering actionable insights from novel publicly available information (PAI) and open-source intelligence (OSINT), and leveraging an adversarial mindset to anticipate threat actor behavior.

In this role, you will lead high-impact analytical efforts across diverse global regions, utilize advanced tooling to execute rapid assessments, and directly support strategic clients in fulfilling critical security missions.

We have a role for you if, you:

  • Have a proven track record of delivering actionable intelligence in support of high-impact national security missions, with the agility to rapidly pivot focus across dynamic global regions as intelligence requirements evolve.

  • Have advanced Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Deep & Dark Web (DDW) research experience, and have engaged threat actors in online communities while maintaining credible online personas under managed attribution.

  • Have worked with novel and publicly exposed datasets and can recognize how an adversary can combine offensive cyber capabilities and exposed data to create real-world risk.

  • Bring an offensive-security perspective to your analysis, drawn from hands-on red teaming, penetration testing, or equivalent work, and use it to anticipate how adversaries operate.

  • Have a strong command of Linux and the command line, and an intermediate- to advanced-level ability to script and automate the manipulation and formatting of large datasets.

  • Possess an advanced understanding of network and telecommunications technologies and topologies.

  • Have produced accurate investigations and key judgments for finished intelligence reports, and presented complex findings to wide audiences, including community calls, executive-level briefings, and direct client engagements.

What you will get to do on our team:

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis across OSINT and Deep & Dark Web sources, with a focus on novel, publicly exposed data, to develop intelligence on threats to national security.

  • Run proactive, covert engagement with threat actors across underground environments and chat services, employing advanced managed-attribution tradecraft to safely elicit critical intelligence and identify emerging risks.

  • Apply an offensive-security lens to exposed-data investigations, assessing how adversaries could operationalize what you find and where the real risk lives.

  • Proactively monitor and collect high-signal data from illicit marketplaces, forums, and encrypted chat platforms, using specialized keywords and patterns within Flashpoint tools to drive investigations.

  • Synthesize complex, raw data into high-quality analytic judgments, assessing credibility, deducing client relevance, and supporting essential client deliverables and intelligence requirements.

  • Safely navigate virtual environments, articulate the security safeguards each task requires, and comply with Flashpoint org-wide and Intel team policies, including Rules of Engagement.

  • Create finished intelligence products and peer-review the work of others for analytic accuracy and conformity with Flashpoint report-writing standards.

  • Brief clients and communities directly, including in-person engagements, and propose new, relevant content for external publication.

  • Act as an internal subject-matter expert, documenting team processes and mentoring new and junior analysts.

What you will achieve:

Within 30 days

  • You will have been fully onboarded into a team of professional intelligence analysts, paired with a mentor, and given the access, resources, and training needed to begin tackling deliverables.

Within 60 days

  • You will have become familiar with Flashpoint's processes, tooling, and managed-attribution environment, and grown comfortable taking on additional tasks and deliverables independently.

  • You will have completed your first investigations against novel, exposed-data sources in support of live intelligence requirements.

By 90 days

  • You will have carried out your own investigations in support of intelligence requirements and published the findings within the Flashpoint intelligence platform.

  • You will have supported at least one client-facing briefing, translating technical findings into decisions leaders can act on.

  • You will have built working relationships with teams outside your own to support your success and career growth.

  • You will be fully comfortable handling day-to-day deliverables on your own and operating effectively both independently and as part of the team.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced OSINT tradecraft and methodology, including Deep & Dark Web research and managed-attribution operations.

  • A strong command of Linux and the command line, plus scripting ability to automate work against large datasets.

  • Demonstrated offensive-security capability, such as OSCP or equivalent hands-on red teaming and penetration testing experience, and the mindset to think like an adversary. SANS/GIAC is a plus.

  • A track record as an intelligence analyst, ideally supporting the public sector or national security mission space.

  • Strong writing skills, with experience producing finished intelligence products, and strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.

  • Willingness to travel periodically for in-person client engagements and briefings.

  • TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
