What will you be doing?

Circana is evolving the Commercial Finance function to develop finance professionals who provide thoughtful analysis, insights, and decision support to Commercial sales leaders. Commercial Finance is responsible for streamlining processes, leveraging new systems, and adding more value for Commercial partners who drive the business.

The Senior Analyst will play a key role in supporting Commercial Finance initiatives by delivering detailed forecasts, insightful analysis, and data-driven recommendations. This role will serve as a key partner to the Media commercial team, supporting day-to-day FP&A activities across the business.

This role will support financial planning and analysis processes for the North America Media business, including revenue forecasting, expense management, KPI tracking, and performance analysis.  This role will report to the Director of Commercial Finance for Media.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support P&L management through revenue and expense tracking, variance analysis, and reporting
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans
  • Analyze business performance, identify key drivers, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Partner with Commercial leaders to support pipeline reviews, pricing decisions, and revenue opportunities
  • Prepare reporting packages, dashboards, and summaries highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Support process improvements by identifying inefficiencies in reporting, forecasting, and data management
  • Perform root cause analysis on variances and help implement corrective actions
  • Track and report on key operational metrics, including revenue, expenses, and headcount
  • Leverage financial systems (e.g., CRM, Adaptive, NetSuite, Power BI) to enhance reporting and insights
  • Support business case development and post-analysis tracking for strategic initiatives
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support special projects as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Client Insights, and Finance teams

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Financial Analysis, or a related finance function
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets, financial models, and reporting
  • Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and monthly business performance reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify key business drivers and clearly communicate insights
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work accurately across multiple data sources
  • Comfortable pulling, consolidating, and analyzing financial and operational data to support business decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to partner effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and willing to learn new business processes and systems
  • Experience with planning and reporting tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning, NetSuite, CRM platforms, or Power BI is a plus

Location: This position is 100% remote; must be willing to work Central Standard Time zone hours. Eastern Standard Time zone preferred.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 USD.
