About the role

We are seeking a talented Senior AI Engineer who is passionate about using their skills to help create the hospitals of tomorrow. Candidates must have a track record of successfully leading projects across multiple engineering, product, and business teams. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will use your technical and people management expertise to help drive development of AI systems. The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on knowledge of AI system design and effective leadership to inspire the team, align cross-functional partners, engage senior leadership, and deliver business results.


What you'll do

  • Work collaboratively with product, AI, and engineering teams to turn AI concepts into valuable products
  • Develop systems leveraging computer vision/NLP deep learning models for healthcare use cases
  • Help to guide the design & architecture of Artisight’s AI platform
  • Lead cross-functional teams through development of AI powered solutions
  • Study and transform data science prototypes
  • Research, design, and implement scalable machine learning systems
  • Develop machine learning applications according to requirements
  • Ensure systems meet performance requirements
  • Perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
  • Train and retrain systems when necessary
  • Extend existing libraries and frameworks

Qualifications

  • B.S. in a quantitative field such as computer science, data science, statistics, or related disciplines.  
  • A minimum of 8 years as a hands-on practitioner developing software solutions of which 4+ years of experience is in AI production solutions.  
  • A minimum 2+ years of people management experience in software development contexts.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in applying AI, machine learning, quantitative methods, predictive modeling and other analytics frameworks and techniques is required.
  • Mastery of Linux
  • Strong partnering skills and technical domain know-how to successfully lead, engage and influence colleagues in a matrixed and fast-paced environment 
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story 
  • Strong problem solver with ability to lead a cross-functional team to push the solution and progress 
  • Applied knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling methods
  • Excellent communication and training skills required

Nice to haves

  • NVIDIA Triton
  • Experience with self-supervised learning
  • Experience with edge-based inferencing
  • Experience training/fine-tuning Large Language Models
