Role Summary/Purpose:

In this onsite/hybrid Senior Administrative Assistant role you will provide administrative support services to Synchrony’s Senior Vice President Home & Auto Commercial and Integration Leader and senior leadership team members. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational, communication skills, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and thriving in a fast-paced environment. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Proactively support the SVP Home & Auto Commercial & Integration Leader and team by independently handling all assigned duties, taking direction from and balancing needs of staff members. 

  • Interact with employees, clients, vendors and stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner. 

  • Effectively use computer and company software programs with strong emphasis on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook (for appointments/email). 

  • Planning & creating meetings and managing busy and complex calendars (including frequent calendar shifts) 

  • Arranging for complex travel plans and events and prepare/reconcile T&E and Purchase Card reports; Travel (book on-line flight reservations and coordinate all travel/meeting logistics) 

  • Process invoices and ensure timely vendor payments 

  • Coordinate compilation of large power point presentations, providing revision and editing and supporting the ongoing agendas and time allocations for presenters 

  • Ensure documents are posted accurately and timely in preparation for meetings/conference calls 

  • Maintain calendar for staff and department activities.  Assist in prioritization of items. 

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned 

  • Coordinate Business Events (i.e. onsite meetings, connection days for employees, conferences, business dinners, client meetings, offsite meetings, etc.); handle all logistical details including participant travel, meal/menu organization, ensuring compliance with internal policies.

  • Independently handle administrative support duties

  • Provides comprehensive administrative, logistical, and operational support to the SVP Home & Auto Commercial leader and additional senior leaders and/or multiple teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day business execution.

  • Serves as a trusted partner who proactively anticipates needs, prioritizes competing requests, and drives timely follow-through on commitments.

  • Coordinates complex schedules, communications, and deliverables while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail

  • Independently handle all administrative support duties

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED. 

  • Minimum of 3 years Executive level secretarial/administrative experience. Requires professional experience in working with senior level executives within and outside the company as well as with clients, vendors, visitors, and other dignitaries 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience preparing PowerPoint presentations with varying levels of complexity, and advanced usage of Microsoft Office 

  • Minimum 1 year office/facility operations management. (overall facility maintenance/general support) 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of utilizing advanced meeting tools, such as Teams, multi-person/multi-site Video Conferencing, Collaboration tools (e.g. Share Point), etc.

  • Experience handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks 

  • Clear, concise and articulate communication skills (verbal & written) 

  • Efficient in prioritizing high volume of assignments 

  • Exceptional follow-up and follow through skills 

  • Detail-oriented and proven organizational skills 

  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and prioritize responsibilities required 

  • Experience working in a non-structured, fast-paced, challenging and ever-changing work environment 

  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact with all levels of the organization 

Grade/Level: 06

The hourly rate range for this position is $24.50 - $32.50/hr USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

                                                                                                                              

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

We’re proud to offer you flexibility. At Synchrony, our way of working allows you to have the option to work from home near one of our Hubs or come into one of our offices. Occasionally you will be required to commute or travel for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events. 

*Field Sales and some Commercial team roles may have varied location requirements based upon partner obligations or preferences. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
