We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will help power that engine. In this role, every dollar you touch becomes meaningful impact for the communities we serve.


Your Impact

As a Senior Accountant with Vivent Health’s grants team, you will be a steward of our mission by managing a complex grant portfolio with precision, purpose, and partnership. You will collaborate with grants administration, program leadership, and finance colleagues to ensure financial integrity and to optimize resources that directly support patient care and social services.


You will also guide and develop at least one staff accountant and contribute to a team culture rooted in excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

How You Will Contribute

  • Champion financial stewardship for a diverse portfolio of grants, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement
  • Partner with grants administration to develop grant budgets and strategically allocate resources
  • Lead and support a small team and contribute to high-performing finance operations
  • Produce accurate financial reporting and provide insight through variance analysis
  • Support accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare for and support external audits and grant site visits
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of GAAP and federal grant regulations
  • Contribute to the overhaul of our current financial system through ERP implementation
  • Follow all agency policies, including confidentiality and compliance requirements

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • 2 to 3 years of federal grant management experience
  • Strong proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication ability, analytical skills, and ethical judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative, mission-focused mindset

Salary 

Starting at $80,000 - $88,000/annually (Depending on Experience)

The final salary will be determined based on factors such as market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications. Please note that it is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
