What You Will Do
- Support general accounting and month-end close activities
- Prepare timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations, including in areas such as prepaids, payroll, equity, intercompany, accruals and provide fluctuation analysis on key accounts
- Support additional compliance tasks for US and international subsidiaries include tax and audit including sales tax filings, global payroll, and international filings
- Support special projects such as system optimization/implementation in related areas
- Cross-team support in other general accounting areas for vacation backup such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or equivalent) strongly preferred, or demonstrated technical accounting expertise
- 5+ years of general accounting experience, preferably in the software or technology industry.
- Experience in Accounting systems, such as SAP S/4Hana, NetSuite, Carta, Ariba, Navan, Concur
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and a solid understanding of core accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills (such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.) and comfort with cloud-based financial tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with multi-entity or international operations.
- CPA or CPA-track is a plus.
- Experience with financial automation or ERP optimization projects.
- Experience with monthly balance sheet and income statement flux analysis
- Experience in public company and/or public accounting where understanding of internal controls and technical accounting experience was obtained is a plus
