SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen and scale our financial operations and reporting. In this hands-on role, you will own month-end close and handle daily accounting activities. You will build scalable systems and provide insights that support strategic decision-making, working closely with the VP of Finance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys refining and building processes, and is excited to contribute to a rapidly growing company.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Manage the month-end and year-end close process, including consolidations, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
Maintain documentation for reporting and investor requirements
Support tax preparation and filings
Accounting Operations & Systems:
Build and implement accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general ledger management
Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and documentation to support compliance and operational efficiency.
Strategic & Operational Support
Perform monthly flux and variance analysis
Collaborate with the VP of Finance and leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models
Conduct financial analysis and provide ad-hoc reporting and support as needed to inform decision-making and drive business growth
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
Big four or national firm experience preferred but not required
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in an early or growth stage environment
Strong operational experience with Proficiency with ERP systems and processes.
Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Experience with an MSO-PC model accounting is a plus
