The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of GAAP, proven experience preparing financial statements, and the ability to partner with auditors and leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, integrity, and transparency in all financial activities.

This role is open to remote candidates and pays $90,000-$105,000 annually, dependent on experience. This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures in accordance with GAAP.
- Interact with external auditors.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Perform variance analyses and supporting schedules.
- Perform technical accounting research and write memos documenting the research and the conclusions.
- Maintain financial integrity through adherence to effective internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support decision-making.
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency in reporting and audit readiness along with strengthening internal controls.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with emphasis on financial reporting and audits.
- Banking or financial services industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory requirements, and multi-entity accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables) and proficiency with accounting software (Oracle NetSuite preferred).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with auditors and preparing audit schedules.
