About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in month-end closings, prepare General Ledger reconciliations, and support HR with benefits-related tasks. The role requires a high degree of accuracy, time management, self learning, the ability to work within tight deadlines, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and post Journal entries for Balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end GL reconciliations
- Assist with quarterly and annual audit requests from external and internal auditors.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations as it pertains to accounting, the business and payroll.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization in regards to AP/AR/Accounting matters
- Maintain and improve on processes and procedures within the accounting department and the rest of the organization.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent related field experience
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
Other skills:
- Proficiency in Workday, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Time management
- Ability to work in a remote environment
- High level of communication skills
