We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting and month-end close. This hands-on individual contributor role will partner with the Accounting Manager and Controller to prepare financial reports, including standard financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows), as well as internal periodic and ad hoc financial reports and related analyses. This role will work on accounting special projects, perform technical accounting research under U.S. GAAP, and support the accounting function generally through reconciliations and analysis. The role will also support accounting for international entities and help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain internal financial reporting and support external reporting
- Support and execute the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Maintain balance sheet integrity through reconciliations, analysis, and supporting schedules
- Perform technical accounting research under U.S. GAAP and document accounting conclusions
- Assist with audit support and ad-hoc projects
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances or unusual activity
- Support accounting for international entities, particularly Germany and Canada
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Significant month-end close experience
- Expertise with NetSuite, including report building. Implementation of new functionality is a plus
- Strong financial reporting skills
- Demonstrated ability to prepare full 3-statement consolidated financials independently
- Experience with statutory reporting requirements
- International experience is a plus
