The Role
We’re seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate/ Manager of Accounting to join our growing Offshore Renewable Energy Practice to collaborate with our United States operations. You’ll be a key contributor in executing audit procedures, month end close, GL entries and technical accounting memos. The role will require experience in multi-entity, renewable energy development and asset operations to be successful. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, highly organized individual capable of working independently and collaboratively on various audit, accounting and operational initiatives. This includes executing audit procedures, while booking month end journal entries across various business lines in renewable energy. Your ability to execute in various areas of the accounting organization will set you apart.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare workpapers, memos and documentation to support audit conclusions
Perform audit procedures under U.S. GAAS and communicate with external auditors
Identify any US GAAP and IFRS compliance issues and execute resolution(s)
Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP
Prepare various areas of financial reporting and disclosures under U.S. GAAP AND IFRS
Assess project asset schedules, debt, depreciation and support with the General Ledger
Ensure financing schedules and covenants comply with stakeholder agreements
Lead process walkthroughs, control testing, identify gaps and improve controls
Ensure vendors, treasury and financial data adheres to controls and segregation of duties
Stay updated on industry standards, including insurance and statutory framework
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
5+ years of audit experience (Big 4 background a plus)
CPA, CIA and/ or CISA (U.S. preferred but eligibility considered; Philippines also valued)
Ability to prioritize, organize, manage time, and work independently to meet deadlines
Experience in renewable energy, real estate or other multi-entities is required
Prior experience in both Solar and Wind is valued and would ensure extreme traction
Ability to align with U.S. hours (PST) with flexibility based on US collaboration and deadlines
Solid working knowledge of GAAP accounting/ GAAS and/or public accounting experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft office and 365 Function
Ability to focus on small details and high-level strategic projects simultaneously
High degree of professionalism and tact in dealing with internal and external partners
Eagerness to learn, with attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and contribute to team success
