We’re seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the end-to-end accounting for Accrued Liabilities and related Expenses, Revenue, and month end close responsibilities. The ideal candidate will
have expertise in month-end close processes, an eye for strong controls and demonstrated process
improvement experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to
accrued liabilities, expenses, and journal entries. - Assist with month end close process including accrued liabilities, expenses, cash reconciliations, and other ad hoc month end close items.
- Help with defining processes and procedures including process improvement of already existing documentation and processes.
- Provide support for Interwell billing/revenue processes as needed.
- Develop and monitor internal controls to minimize financial risk, identify opportunities, and collaborate with external auditors during audits.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting across key accounting transactions and processes (i.e. assets, liabilities, revenues, expense, etc.) with an emphasis in ASC606 revenue recognition accounting and month end close tasks (cash accounting, sales tax, etc.).
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and Blackline preferred).
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulations including GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Analytical skills and ability to critically think are a must.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Preferred
- Big 4 Audit Experience preferred.
- Experience in accounting for software and/or healthcare
Certifications and Licensure Requirements:
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA) License - preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Travel Requirements:
Less than 10% travel — travel a few days per year for onsite meetings as needed.
