The Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and agile Senior Accounting Manager, Special Projects, to lead key initiatives across the accounting organization. This role is ideal for a strong problem-solver and project leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings deep expertise in accounting operations and technical compliance. You will lead and support complex projects ranging from system implementations and process redesigns to audit readiness, and technical accounting analyses. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive improvements in processes, systems, and reporting — all while ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP and internal control standards.
What You'll Do

- Lead and execute a variety of high-impact special projects across the accounting and finance function.
- Manage project plans, resources, deliverables, and stakeholder communication for initiatives such as:
- ERP implementations or upgrades,
- Process automation or redesign
- Technical accounting assessments
- Work closely with the Sr Mgr, Internal Controls, to ensure control gaps are identified either manually or through automation
- Provide hands-on support with technical accounting research and documentation on complex transactions.
- Partner with auditors during internal and external audit cycles by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and ensuring appropriate controls.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities as needed, including review of journal entries and reconciliations.
- Develop and document accounting policies and procedures related to new processes or project areas.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on accounting best practices and change management.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Experience You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
- 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including both public accounting and corporate roles.
- Experience leading or contributing to complex projects within accounting or finance teams.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working across departments and with executive stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to both detail and big-picture thinking.
