Job Description:
Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Security Consultant II Ensure successful network integration and support of customers on Akamai platform and implement solutions to help customers leverage Akamai security products to achieve desired outcomes. Ensure customer success by understanding system requirements, leveraging best practices, and offering consulting services that meet customer needs. Collaborate with integrated account team to evaluate customer web architecture. Develop and deliver long term network security strategy and cloud solutions. Participate in training and projects contributing to best practices, maximizing efficiency, and improving methodology and service quality. Utilize and apply knowledge of IP networks, DNS & routing, internet protocols, web architecture, security event management, security, compliance, web development, and IT systems. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States. AG1600

Required Qualification:
Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, or Information Technology Management, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role. 
Must have: Two (2) years of experience in the following: Security architecture review, risk assessment, and threat modeling; security automation and DevSecOps; cloud containers such as AWS IAM & CloudWatch, Kubernetes, and Docker; CI/CD; Security testing, vulnerability management, and runtime self-protections; API security; Cloud infrastructure such as Azure Security Center, GCP, EC2, S3, and Lambda; and languages such as Java, Python, and Shell Scripting.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $130,458-$181,300 /year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
