Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Sector Manager for various Florda Project Management and Construction Management (PMCM) projects. This position will report to the Deputy Practice Leader for PMCM, Americas, and will require 20+ years of relevant experience in PMCM. This individual will oversee the execution of current and new contracts and be involved in business development of PMCM projects. The position will be located out of our office in Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, or Miami FL, but will need to visit clients, field offices, and project sites as needed.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Miami-Dade County, Palm Beach County, and/or Broward County, PMCM projects with various clients.
  • Manage staff working on projects within the group.
  • Responsible for successful delivery of projects.
  • Monitor budgets and schedules of projects.
  • Identify potential project prospects and lead preparation of technical (narratives) and cost proposal to support marketing efforts. 
  • Prepare and participate in proposal presentations.
  • Will be responsible for the PMCM Practice Area’s Sales Goal.
  • Partner with internal Talent Attraction team to help identify, interview and recommend potential candidates to be hired for the team.
  • Oversee, develop and mentor staff performing PMCM work throughout the Practice Area.
  • Drive implementation of safety, quality and staff development initiatives for staff and projects.
  • Maintain membership in professional societies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field with 20 years of experience minimum.
  • P.E. license, CCM or AIA required.
  • Experience working for various local, state and federal transportation agencies such as Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Miami-Dade County, Palm Beach County, and/or Broward County, South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), Port Everglades, and other peer agencies across the Transportation, Water and Building sectors. 
  • Project Management Procedures (PMP’s) and Project Management Guidelines (PMG’s) familiarity a plus.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
  • Proven history leading diverse multi-disciplinary teams of field based staff and ability to foster strong connections across multiple deployed teams delivering construction management projects.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
