This is a high-visibility role reporting to Assistant Controller, with direct exposure to executive leadership and our external auditors. You'll work across revenue recognition, debt/equity instruments, stock compensation, and internal controls remediation.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and review SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and proxy materials) — financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A — ensuring compliance with SEC and GAAP requirements
  • Maintain the Company’s SEC Reporting tools
  • Collaborate with departments and managers regarding the reporting processes and information required for proper and timely disclosures.
  • Research and draft formal technical accounting memos on complex or non-routine transactions (revenue recognition under ASC 606, debt/equity transaction classification, and other similar areas)
  • Monitor new and emerging GAAP, FASB or SEC standards; lead impact assessments and implementation
  • Support the Company's SOX/ICFR program, helping the Company prepare for SOX 404(b) and assisting with control design and testing
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit
  • Draft and maintain formal accounting policies, ensuring consistent application across the organization
  • Support the close process on complex or judgmental areas as needed
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and Investor Relations on disclosure matters

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA license preferred
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or large national firm) and industry/SEC reporting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated experience researching and documenting technical accounting positions
  • Prior experience at a publicly traded company strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with disclosure management tools (e.g., Workiva) and XBRL a plus
  • Experience with NetSuite and FloQast a plus
  • Excellent written communication skills — able to translate complex accounting into clear, defensible memos
  • Self-starter, comfortable operating independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to effectively facilitate and present in group meetings.
