Sales Development Representative

Roots is seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to join our growing Marketing team and help businesses leverage AI to drive greater speed, accuracy, and scale.

We’re building cutting-edge infrastructure that powers real-time document processing, custom model deployment, and multimodal intelligence, bringing AI from research to production in one of the world’s most critical and fast-moving markets. Our platform automates complex insurance workflows with 98%+ accuracy and speed, helping carriers and brokers go from months to value in just weeks.

Responsibilities:

  • Clearly articulate the value, capabilities, and business impact of Roots Automation’s Digital Coworkers to senior leaders across insurance, financial services, and healthcare

  • Generate new business opportunities through high-volume outbound prospecting (cold calling, email, LinkedIn, and other channels)

  • Use research and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies to identify, prioritize, and engage target accounts

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and schedule meetings for Roots Automation leadership

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the CRM, including outreach activity, lead status, and obstacles

  • Manage a high daily volume of outreach (100+ contacts per day) while maintaining thoughtful, personalized follow-ups

  • Nurture prospects through consistent, creative follow-up to drive engagement and momentum

  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for qualified leads and opportunities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and marketing to optimize messaging and outreach strategies


Qualifications:

  • Experience working in inside sales, BDR, or similar experience, preferably selling high-value or technical solutions to enterprise organizations

  • Strong ability to confidently engage and communicate with senior decision-makers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a persuasive, business-oriented approach

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven, and technical environment

  • Highly resilient, self-motivated, and able to maintain momentum through rejection and complex buying cycles

  • Experience using CRM tools and maintaining disciplined pipeline hygiene

  • Startup experience and comfort working independently in a remote or autonomous environment preferred

  • Prior experience generating meetings with Fortune 1000 or enterprise-level executives a plus

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
