We’re looking for an experienced and highly collaborative SDR Manager to join our Commercial team. This hybrid role combines team leadership with individual contribution. You’ll have a unique opportunity to support and elevate the SDR team, while also directly driving growth by building relationships through strategic health plan partnerships.

Responsibilities

SDR Manager (50%)

  • Oversee a team of SDRs, providing coaching, mentorship and professional development

  • Partner closely with the SDR team to refine outreach strategies, share best practices, and drive consistent performance that unlocks ambitious growth goals

  • Pioneer innovative new strategies, e.g., via technology and AI to enhance SDR scale and performance

  • Monitor performance metrics and adjust strategies, tactics and alignment to deliver on key OKRs

  • Lead regular team syncs, call reviews, enablement sessions and pipeline jams to learn from each other and evolve our approach.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Business Ops to ensure our systems, messaging, and targets are aligned for success.

Individual Contributor (50%)

  • Research, map and understand relationships with our strategic health plan partners

  • Work closely with partnership and sales teams to develop outreach strategies that build new connections with key stakeholders and AEs

  • Leverage a combination of traditional and more unconventional tactics to expand Virta’s foothold with strategic health plan partners

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Build relationships with direct reports, extended team members and internal stakeholders to establish trust and communication

  • Conduct a deep dive into SDR processes, cadences/templates, call scripts, and strategies to identify areas for optimization or scaling; apply learnings for rapid impact

  • Get up to speed on reporting dashboards and performance metrics to pinpoint where immediate support is needed

  • Align with Sales, Marketing and other cross functional teams to understand business priorities and establish system for closed-loop feedback

  • Evaluate agentic SDR solutions and lead process to make decision on final vendor in consideration with the rest of our tech stack

  • Learn the Virta pitch, value proposition, and sales motion to begin contributing insights and driving team performance

Must-Haves
  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales development leadership or manager role

  • Proven track record of team performance and personal quota attainment

  • A team-first mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills—you’re a motivator, coach and a relationship builder

  • Understanding of the employer benefits space and/or health plan industry preferred

  • Experience working with or selling through health plan ASO, channel or strategic partnerships is a major plus

  • Highly organized with a bias toward action and continuous improvement

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $136,768- $150,000. Information about Virta’s benefits is on our Careers page at: https://www.virtahealth.com/careers.

As part of your duties at Virta, you may come in contact with sensitive patient information that is governed by HIPAA. Throughout your career at Virta, you will be expected to follow Virta's security and privacy procedures to ensure our patients' information remains strictly confidential. Security and privacy training will be provided.

As a remote-first company, our team is spread across various locations with office hubs in Denver and San Francisco.
