Who we are

We founded Timely to build the tool we wish we'd had when we were in schools -- hoping to save hundreds of hours of wasted time while helping schools develop better schedules that enable their academic, budget and staffing priorities. Our solution addresses the needs of school-based employees who toil away building schedules and central office employees who need visibility into them.

The school schedule reflects values and priorities. With 75 to 90% of a district budget dedicated to personnel, there are few questions more paramount than how your staff and students spend their time every day, what positions you need, how many teachers you will hire, and how students will interact with them. Strategic resource allocation across schools, proper access to core courses and electives, and dedicated support to sub-groups begins with the development of a school schedule.

Timely is your home for secondary scheduling featuring AI optimization and support from a team of former educators who know and have lived scheduling. Not only does Timely save time and headache, it unlocks resources so district and charter leaders can build a schedule that aligns with their vision.

About the role

As a School Success Manager at Timely, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to help schools create more effective, equitable, efficient and innovative schedules. You'll work directly with our school partners, guiding them through the entire scheduling process and ensuring they maximize the benefits of our platform and support model.

    • Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders including lead schedulers, principals, district leaders, and other members of the scheduling teams

    • Track success metrics for each partner, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and renewal rates

    • Serve as a strategic thought partner to district and school-based teams to ensure their schedule aligns to their unique priorities

  • Lead implementations

    • Drive the implementation process for each partner across a portfolio of schools

    • Lead onboarding and training for new and returning partners

    • Support the data integration process by collaborating with our partners’ IT teams and Timely’s data integration team, owning aspects of the data transfer process (e.g., appropriately structuring data files for upload into the Timely the app)

    • Troubleshoot complex technical issues as the external representative of Timely, with support from Timely’s product & engineering team

    • Communicate and coordinate cross-functionally across Timely’s sales & marketing and product & engineering teams to share customer feedback and relevant insights into implementation that will improve our sales, product, and overall solution

  • Support sales and general operations

    • As a young company, our School Success team contributes to sales efforts in the scheduling “off-season,” including joining sales pitches, leading product demos, answering questions from prospective school partners, and liaising with schools through the procurement and contracting process

    • Pitch in wherever and whenever is needed to contribute to team success

  • Be part of the brain trust to build a lasting and valuable company

    • Our small and quick-moving team is committed to both impact and financial success, and this role works hand-in-hand across functional areas in making and implementing major decisions that determine Timely’s future

  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and work in a scrappy environment

The following additional experiences would also be a plus:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth entrepreneurial environment

Who you are

  • A “school person:” You’ve worked at least five years inside a school. You understand the operations and culture of schools and identify as such

  • Detail-oriented: You meticulously review schedules, slides, and other related documents with critical attention to detail

  • Strategic: You can take in many different signals, cut through the noise, and deliver for our district/CMO and school partners
