PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
- Monitor the health of spacecraft systems and subsystems throughout the satellites lifecycle.
- Perform routine analysis and manufacturer recommended operations.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve system and subsystem deviations and anomalies and participate in related activities.
- Develop satellite operations procedures, products and processes based on manufacturer's documentation and operations protocol.
- Define, develop, test, and execute command plans to implement spacecraft configuration changes.
- Define and develop satellite system and subsystem requirements for ground network systems. This includes the development of test plans, conducting acceptance tests, and resolving issues.
- Develop software tools, methods, and procedures to improve testing and measurement capabilities.
- Test and assess the viability/compatibility of new systems and equipment.
- Perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating periodic basis. Available to support outside of normal business hours during the week and on weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Must Have
- A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline. Preferred: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or computer science.
- At least one (1) year of recent, relevant professional experience in Satellite Engineer-ing/Operations.
- Capability to apply engineering principles and practices across spacecraft applications of engi-neering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, thermal logic, computer application.
- Computer experience is required to operate various satellite operations ground systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Some familiarity with Object Oriented Programming Languages (for example Python, Java, C++)
- Ability to analyze time varying data in plots or tables for specific signatures.
- This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).
- Nice to Have
- Additional years of recent, relevant professional experience in Satellite Engineering/Operations.
- Systems knowledge of the fundamentals of spacecraft operations spanning all spacecraft bus subsystems including attitude control, power, thermal, data handling and propulsion.
- Knowledge of one or more of the following spacecraft designs and operations: AIRBUS, Boeing, MAXAR or Northrop Grumman.
- Ability to draft specifications and evaluate proposals.
- Experience with project scheduling and coordination.
- Familiarity with Excel visual basic programming, including macro development.
- Python, Unix, and/or MATLAB, programming skills.
