KATBOTZ LLC is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SAP Change & Release Manager to lead and coordinate change management and release activities across SAP landscapes. The role involves planning, implementing, and governing change requests, software releases, and system enhancements to ensure minimal disruption, robust governance, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployments while adhering to SAP best practices and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP change and release management processes, ensuring proper planning, testing, approval, and deployment of changes and updates.
- Collaborate with business units, technical teams, and project managers to assess the impact of proposed changes and mitigate risks.
- Define and enforce change control policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Plan and schedule release activities across multiple SAP modules (S/4HANA, Fiori, Analytics, Integration Suite, etc.).
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and validation activities to ensure system stability and performance.
- Monitor change requests, track progress, and ensure proper documentation and communication with stakeholders.
- Manage version control, transport requests, and deployment pipelines to maintain consistency across development, testing, and production environments.
- Identify and resolve issues, conflicts, or deployment failures during change implementation.
- Provide reporting and metrics on change velocity, deployment success rates, and system availability to leadership.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline change processes, automation, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP change management, release coordination, or application lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge of SAP environments including S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP Solution Manager, and Integration tools.
- Experience managing transports, versioning, and configuration across SAP landscapes.
- Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps practices, and SAP Activate methodology.
- Excellent risk assessment, problem-solving, and process governance capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
- Experience working in regulated or highly controlled environments is an advantage.
- SAP certifications or ITIL Foundation certification are preferred.
