The Opportunity
The Salesforce Developer - Marketing is responsible for engineering and maintaining the Salesforce platform, and designing and implementing integrations between platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Data Warehouse and other third-party applications. This position will work to design, implement and deploy solutions and enhancements to existing and new components. This role will lead administration and development support for the Salesforce platform, tools and environments. This includes the technical administration of the Salesforce platform and environments, including Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud, as well as Marketing Account Engagement (Pardot). The role will maintain and support technical solutions that satisfies business and technical needs using the Salesforce platform. Performs lead support and administers solutions within Salesforce, advocates for solutions and best practices, and works to increase productivity of Salesforce users.
Day in the Life
Develop and maintain complex Salesforce solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and best practices.
Create custom applications, integrations and workflows within the Salesforce platform.
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Salesforce implementations.
Work closely with architects, administrators and other team members to deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions.
Responsible for CRM development of Sales Cloud and Salesforce Experience Cloud.
Supports Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) development as needed.
Maintain up-to-date development lifecycle plans and design and release documentation.
Develop Salesforce governance including security, roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows and groups across multiple defined Velera companies and user groups in alignment with Velera access management policies.
Evaluates new releases of Salesforce to determine functionality requirements and provides detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users; works with Salesforce Administrator for deployment.
Coordinates with manager regarding change management process to roll out new features, enhancements and fixes.
Demonstrated experience with various Salesforce integration technologies, including REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Integration Hub
Design and implement solutions using Experience Cloud
Develop administrative best practices for Experience Cloud users including user access policies and file access.
Provides backup support for Salesforce Administrator and Salesforce Technical Architect.
Stays current with system training and certifications to maximize use of tools and advance as the business requires.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Salesforce Administrator Certification and Salesforce Developer Certification required.
Advanced Administrator or Developer 2 Certification preferred
Seven (7) years of Salesforce experience required, including:
Four (4) years of experience administering CRM platforms that include enhancements, building reports, workflows, etc.
Three (3) years of experience developing CRM platforms including custom apps, APIs, APEX, Visualforce, web components, and Java.
Experience using Salesforce data tools (Data Loader, DemandTools, Eclipse Force.com IDE).
Experience working in a business-to-business sales environment required.
Prior developer experience with Pardot and Experience Cloud required.
