The NeedFor over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Salesforce Automation Specialist.
IJM is looking for an experienced Salesforce Automation Specialist, to deliver on the strategy and execution of email marketing, SMS marketing, and digtal automation/journey-building. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of configuring Marketing Cloud who can work alongside our Salesforce team and audience owners to ensure we get the most out of the platform and deliver great constituent experiences. You will take your passion for digital marketing and fundraising, platform operations and marketing analytics to execute on IJM’s email, texting, automation, journey building, and audience building functionalities. This role will be central on the digital marketing team, representing how email, text, and other Marketing Cloud capabilities can best be used to serve our goal of increasing awareness, engagement, and revenue to end slavery in our lifetime. The ideal candidate will be driven by data, team collaboration and refining marketing strategies. You will joyfully dive into details to see how various forms of digital communication and channels perform and look to continuously improve results for lead generation, fundraising and advocacy.
This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to Sr. Lead, Digital Automation and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.
Responsibilities:Policies and Procedures
Design and execute Marketing Cloud Email and SMS campaigns, ensure best practices are applied while maximizing tools and features of SFMC to meet strategic goals.
Provide technical oversight of Marketing Cloud usage, ensuring standard processes are followed with quality assurance in mind.
Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM Act and CASL regulations in all email and SMS marketing activities.
Communication
Collaborate with regional stakeholders, Salesforce GTS team, Audience Owners, and Business Operation teams to design and develop solutions on the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. Ensure teams are aware of tool functionality and best practices to maximize the effectiveness of their campaigns.
Work with the GTS Salesforce team to troubleshoot any Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionality issues and identify root causes.
Act as the point of contact for addressing anomalies and troubleshooting solutions, working across teams to drive resolution.
Research, Program Management and M&E
Support audience-owner teams using Marketing Cloud.
Develop an intimate understanding of source data to drive campaign tactics and customer journey goals.
Documentation, Reporting and Data Management
Use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create and maintain Lists, Data Extensions, update subscriber lists, and create segmentation groups.
Map data across multiple sources, driving standardization and creating workflows that support personalization in customer communications.
Partner with the Data and Insights team on Google Analytics integrations with SFMC.
Document change management processes as they occur, ensuring all changes are tracked and communicated effectively. Reference and integrate with other internal systems such as Workday and SharePoint as needed.
Clerical and Administration
Utilize internal systems such as Workday for HR-related tasks like employee record updates, time and absence management, and benefits administration.
Use SharePoint for accessing and managing IJM business information and processes.
Utilize Teamwork with partner teams for project tracking and task completion.
Bachelor’s degree required.
2+ years in digital marketing execution.
3+ years marketing automation experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, responsibilities including systems design, database management, administration and implementation and hands-on knowledge of Studios and Builders is a must.
Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist preferred.
Marketing Cloud Consultant, Marketing Cloud Administrator and Marketing Cloud Developer a plus.
Experience working with and serving multiple stakeholders and strategies.
Configure and run triggers and API calls within the Marketing Cloud platform.
Deep knowledge of Email Studio, Journey Builder, Content Builder, Mobile Studio, Analytics Builder, Ad Studio, Audience Builder & Automation Studio components.
Experience with basic HTML (For example, creating tables, links, and bolding).
Working knowledge of AMPscript, HTML, CSS, SQL and/or SOQL.
