The Salesforce Administrator role requires strong development and architecture skills to manage and optimize our 24x7 Salesforce system supporting call center operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in configuring and customizing Salesforce, including workflows, automation, and integrations, while ensuring high availability and performance for mission-critical applications. This role requires hands-on experience in designing scalable solutions, managing user roles and permissions, and implementing security best practices to support a dynamic call center environment. The Salesforce Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, enhance system functionality, and deliver innovative solutions that align with business goals. Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, always-on environment are essential for success in this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Overseeing a Salesforce based environment, supporting configuration and maintenance across multiple environments (e.g. Development, Test, Prod), release activities, and troubleshooting of any Production issues.
- Supporting the cross-functional team defining, developing, and rolling out new features.
- Supporting call-center integrations with Amazon Connect IVR.
- Troubleshooting issues in Production and lower environments with the team as they occur to ensure SLA's for a 24x7 call-center operation. Provide Level 2 & 3 support to resolve system problems.
- Ensure security posture of the Salesforce environment.
- Provide guidance with HealthCloud, DataCloud, SalesCloud, and Agentforce.
- Mentor other members of the cross-functional team on Salesforce best practices for development, release, and testing.
- Additional work may be required to support development team activities during automation integration activities, this may involve interaction with government and other contractors to build a successful working product and the collaborative troubleshooting of issues.
- Maintain integration with external systems such as EHR API's (FHIR), Identity and Authorization tools (Okta), and other third party tooling.
- Maintains Salesforce and System Configuration documentation. Works with cybersecurity team to develop and secure solutions within the Salesforce environment.
- Conduct system audit reviews and perform maintenance functions as required to ensure system health.
- May be responsible for the technical direction, leadership, and training of less experienced staff. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Stay updated on Salesforce advancements and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience) and 4+ years experience supporting and administering Salesforce environments.
- Strong technical skills in Salesforce and related server administration.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms.
Requires a separate, quiet, private, confidential space to work from as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home or apartment (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home. Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or high latency ISP is not acceptable. Must be an U.S. citizen, speak fluent English, and able to maintain and retain suitability investigation and clearance as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IVR capabilities, preferably Amazon Connect (IVR), is a major plus.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud.
- Experience testing web application deployments.
- Experience verifying mission area systems against authorized software configurations.
- Experience supporting cloud environments hosting software developed using Agile techniques (Scrum, Kanban) and Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Veteran/military retiree and/or military spouse or Experience working with and/or for military communities.
- Experience in or supporting a Contact Center, Military/Veteran services, or healthcare environment.
