The Manager, Sales Systems is a strategic leadership role reporting to the Director of Business CRM Systems. We're seeking a dynamic self-starter who thrives in customer-centric environments and excels under pressure while maintaining exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity and rapid change, with a proven ability to consistently resolve complex issues, mitigate roadblocks, and collaboratively achieve both financial and management objectives. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities, requiring someone who can anticipate business needs, scale teams proactively, and maintain alignment between technology solutions and corporate objectives.
As Manager, Sales Systems, you will lead production support and KTLO operations while managing a team of Salesforce administrators and release managers. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines and oversee our sales systems infrastructure, including managing release administrators for CI/CD teams.
In this role, you'll provide critical expertise and strategic influence on future system roadmaps, working closely with Enterprise Architects to shape our CRM ecosystem.
What you'll do- Manage the Salesforce Admins, Release managers and production support supporting our lead to cash systems
- Lead system design discussions involving multiple teams, presenting alternatives and impact assessments
- Drive adoption of technology and process changes across the enterprise
- Architect, design, build, test, and deploy scalable, secure Salesforce solutions supporting global GTM strategy
- Lead solutioning efforts across Sales Cloud, Slack, Agentforce, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce Data Cloud
- Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to delivery and salesforce engineering teams
- Drive end-to-end delivery on large, complex, cross-functional projects with minimal oversight
- Build and manage global teams while mentoring junior team members
- Evaluate team performance through clear, measurable goals and KPIs
- Plan for current and future resourcing needs for sustainment and projects
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
- Manage senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions at the executive level
- Proactively identify and oversee risk areas across the Salesforce landscape
- Ensure organizational compliance with best practices and maintain system integrity
- 6+ years implementing Go-to-Market strategies and Salesforce in global organizations
- 3+ years leading large-scale, cross-functional Salesforce transformation projects
- 3+ years in program management, transformation, or strategic roles
- 5-6 years implementing, configuring, and integrating SaaS software for Lead-to-Cash processes
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Advanced Salesforce development experience with LWC, Apex Classes, Triggers, and Aura Components
- Strong experience with Salesforce CRM tools (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud) and ecosystem integrations
- Proficiency with sales enablement tools and CRM platforms (Salesforce, etc.)
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD tools (Gearset, Copado), governance, and security practices
- Knowledge of complementary systems: CPQ, Billing
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or Application/System Architect (Nice to Have)
- PD-1/PD-2 certifications highly desirable
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture standards and Salesforce platform capabilities
- Proven track record managing senior stakeholders and executive-level decision making
- Exceptional communication, mentorship, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong security and confidentiality practices with sensitive data systems
- Experience with Professional Service management and capacity planning in fast-growth environments
- Demonstrated change management knowledge and ability to operate in fast-paced environments
The Enterprise Applications team is responsible for GitLab’s critical business applications including ServiceNow, Salesforce, Zuora, Netsuite and many others. This team will be an important part of GitLab’s ability to scale as an organization.This includes introducing new systems features and capabilities while maintaining the existing production environment for scalability and compliance.
The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
