Job Summary

Create Music Group is seeking a driven and analytical Research & Sales Intern to support our Business Development efforts, reporting directly to the Director of Business Development.

This role is focused on deal sourcing and outbound outreach, helping identify, research, and connect with potential partners for distribution agreements, catalog acquisitions, and strategic opportunities. The intern will assist with prospecting, outreach campaigns, lead qualification, and maintaining internal deal pipelines.


This is a unpaid, part-time internship designed for current students for the Spring 2026 term. Interns must be eligible to work in the U.S. and available for 10–20 hours per week over a 3-4 month period.


Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential distribution clients, catalog acquisition targets, and strategic partners  
  • Assist with outbound sales and business development outreach, including drafting and sending introductory emails  
  • Build and maintain lead lists and deal pipelines for distribution and acquisition opportunities  
  • Track outreach activity, responses, and follow-ups in internal trackers  
  • Support the Director of Business Development with market research and opportunity analysis  
  • Help prepare initial deal summaries and background profiles for prospective partners  
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on priority targets and outreach strategy

Qualifications 

  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student receiving credit  
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.  
  • Strong interest in music business, sales, and deal-making  
  • Strong written communication skills  
  • Comfortable conducting research and working with data  
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented  
  • Comfortable with Google Sheets / Excel  
  • Professionalism and discretion with sensitive information

Program Details

  • Start Date: Flexible
  • Hybrid role: Remote
  • Length: 3-4 months
  • Schedule: 10–20 hours per week (flexible to accommodate academic commitments)
