Summary
The Sales & Operations Development Trainee is responsible for developing foundational knowledge and hands-on experience across multiple departments within the organization. This rotational program is designed to prepare employees for an Account Executive or Branch/Location General Manager role.
The position provides broad exposure to branch operations, warehouse functions, shared services, and sales support, while offering opportunities to contribute to operational initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional projects. The trainee will gain a comprehensive understanding of company operations, customer service, and business strategy.
Essential Functions
Rotational Learning & Departmental Exposure
Participate in scheduled rotations across departments including branch operations, warehouse operations, shared services, and sales support.
Assist department leaders on projects, operational initiatives, and key business objectives.
Demonstrate adaptability and initiative while learning new functions, systems, and processes.
Build relationships with team members and leaders across the organization to understand collaboration and workflow.
Process Improvement & Operational Analysis
Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency and performance improvements.
Complete assigned projects and present findings, insights, or recommendations to leadership.
Contribute ideas that support the organization’s operational excellence and business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with cross-functional teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of company operations.
Support knowledge transfer and learning initiatives across departments.
Assist in implementing process changes and operational improvements.
Career Development & Progression
Gain foundational experience and skills to advance into an Account Manager role, with the potential for further growth into Account Executive or General Manager positions.
Participate in leadership and development training opportunities as part of the rotation program.
Education & Experience
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
No prior professional experience
Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Preferred
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Operations, or related field
