General Responsibilities
Accountable for the sales of Novus´s products and promoting the interests of Novus International in Swine markets in the Central Midwest region of US. Recommend and implement approved market strategies for all Novus products within the territory. It is also responsible for defining, recommending and assisting in the implementation of effective technical service.
• Manage Novus Swine business to maximize revenue and profit, short term and long term, in the assigned territory.
• Achieve specific sales and profit goals within the assigned territory in line with the overall Novus North America strategy.
• Contribute to the development of an efficient Swine North America Sales and Marketing team, including submission of timely and thorough market intelligence, pro-actively sharing selling tools, market information, and taking responsibility for personal development.
• Build greater partnerships with all customers in the territory through regular sales calls and participation in industry meetings to ensure alignment on business strategy.
• Maintain close relationship with Novus Marketing, Technical Services and Customer Service to secure alignment on business strategy.
• Compliance with the Novus Management System, Novus Integrity System and all policies and procedures related to position assignment. Professionally represent Novus International at all times by adhering to the highest ethical standards.
General Guidance for Key Knowledge/Skills/ Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or comparable training and 5-7 years of sales and marketing experience.
• Knowledge of Novus and other industry products relevant to the pork industry.
• Interpersonal and communication skill for effectively and positively interacting with customers, potential customers, colleagues and industry personnel.
• Development of business strategies, plans and tactics with clear communication with the Novus Regional Sales Manager and with other sales and technical services personnel.
• Efficiently manage Novus' resources within the territory.
• Work within Novus, being part of a team effort in maximizing product development and sales.
Other Essential Requirements
• Fluent in English.
• Must be licensed, insurable and able to drive a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to travel 3-5 days per week, 3 out of 4 weeks per month.
