Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager – Renewable Energy (Solar) to lead our solar sales initiatives and deliver on ambitious revenue targets. In this role, you will leverage your strong knowledge of the solar industry and proven sales expertise to drive business growth, build lasting client relationships, and expand our market footprint. You will be at the forefront of identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction while positioning our solar solutions as as the preferred choice in the market.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for electricity metering products to achieve revenue goals. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
2. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including utility companies, government agencies, and other potential customers. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
3. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by actively prospecting and acquiring new customers. Collaborate with the product development team to understand market demands and contribute to the development of new metering solutions.
4. Sales Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team to ensure they meet individual and team targets. Provide ongoing training and support to enhance the team's product knowledge and sales skills.
5. Market Research and Analysis:
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in electricity metering.
Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats.
6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for the executive team.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
7. Contract Negotiation:
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
8. Trade Shows and Events:
Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to showcase products and network with potential clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven sales experience, preferably within the electricity metering, renewable energy, or related technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge of electricity metering technologies, industry regulations, and evolving market trends.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership experience, including a track record of building, mentoring, and managing high-performing sales teams.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel as required to meet clients, partners, and participate in key industry events.
Benefits
Gross salary range: ₦500,000.00 –
₦600,000.00
