The Sales Insights and Reporting Analyst is accountable for informing the sales function to help GEHA meet or exceed growth goals by employing best practices to transform sales metrics into information and intelligence through dashboard development and assisting the Mgr -Marketing Infrastructure and Sales Insights in producing sale prospect insights at every state in the sales funnel.
The successful candidate will have a background in sales success metrics, data manipulation, and dashboard reporting in a sales environment. The work will be focused on assessing the performance of large-scale growth and initiatives. This position requires an experienced analyst that thrives on using BI tools to provide insights, and market intelligence to help inform the sales team on “where” to focus efforts and improve overall sales results. The candidate should have experience with BI tools, dashboard design, and assisting with results interpretation. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate and present findings to direct manager for ultimate share-out to all levels of management.SKILLS

Responsibilities

  • Own sales dashboard development and production schedule.

  • Become an expert in internal and vendor data sources that feed reporting and insights.                                                                                        

  • Stay current on in-flight sales initiatives and metadata that drive effective reporting.

  • Understand geographic, cobranding, and other cohorts that are key for prioritizing sales efforts.

  • This role will also report on the outcome of the identified cohorts for effective closed-loop reporting and sales improvement.

  • Help inform sales targeting through results assessment.

  • Become familiar with Salesforce data structures for dashboarding and analysis.

  • Become familiar with commercial campaign and performance database to use for dashboard input into reporting and insights.

  • Provide reporting that reflects market testing, product performance, target market identification, and cohort hypotheses.

  • Develop key commercial insights to enable segment/product/market/geo-analytical specific sales reporting.

  • Provide full-funnel visibility throughout the sales funnel.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Marketing Research, or similar.

  • 5+ years data analysis and reporting experience in healthcare insurance sales environment.

  • Proven record of ability to transform raw data into relevant growth insights and ability to articulate (verbally and in writing) to inform and improve sales performance.

  • Health Insurance data insights expertise, or proven record of ability to learn a new industry quickly.

  • Strong proficiency in analytic-focused programing languages such as R, SQL, and/or Python.

  • Firsthand experience with popular BI tools with Power BI being the preference.

  • Strong comfort level collaborating with developers, engineers, and other technical roles for data collaboration.

  • Purposeful with keen sense of urgency to deliver results.

  • Strong written and verbal communication across sales, marketing, technology, and business subject areas.

  • In-depth understanding of healthcare data privacy best practices or proven ability to adapt to the compliance environment of a new industry.

Preferred

  • 7+ years of related experience

    Work-at-home requirements

    • Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
    • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
    • Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
    • Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
    • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

    Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.  GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $75,862 - $106,938 USD.
