The Sales Executive will be responsible for independently identifying and securing new business opportunities. Additionally, this role will collaborate with other members of the UL Solutions Sales team, Affiliate Executives, and Alliance Partners to expand our client base, focusing on Fortune 1000 companies and select mid-market clients.
This role is 100% remote and requires 50-75% travel. Candidates can reside anywhere in the United States.

What we offer:
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The target annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000K which includes a base salary of $65,000-80,000 and 100% on target performance. Members of the sales function are eligible to participate in the UL Solutions Sales Incentive Plan. The annual target incentive for this position is 100% of the base salary, paid quarterly, and is contingent upon performance. Compensation is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.
This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

- Drive new business and meet/exceed sales targets by positioning UL Solutions S&A offerings to key industries (industrial, commercial, retail).
- Focus on acquiring new clients and expanding business in assigned territories.
- Develop account strategies for solution-selling across industry-specific UL S&A portfolios.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals.
- Qualify and engage prospects, build relationships with Fortune 1000 executives, and secure new clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful client outcomes and renewals.
- Drives sales process from beginning to end, leveraging support from Pre-Sales Product Specialists and Sales Support Specialists when necessary
- Teams with Client Success Specialists to ensure accounts utilize and renew UL S&A solutions
- Interfaces with clients primarily in person but also virtually (video, phone, email) to promote and sell UL Solutions products and services; travel as needed (up to 50%) for proactive outreach to highest potential clients
- Demonstrates ability to think creatively in the development of client solutions, pricing, and pursuit/proposal strategies.
- Devises new and innovative ways to market products and services and differentiate from competitors.
- Understands sales best practices, methods and supporting systems (including CRM).
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work seamlessly with internal and external teams (e.g., peers, clients, alliance partners, affiliate executives, industry partners)
- Able to create and deliver high impact client presentations, communications, and proposals, adapt with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors and/or graduate degree in software engineering or related field.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software.
- Relevant technical capabilities related to assigned specialty product / service.
- 2+ years of related sales experience.
- Deep knowledge and experience with specialty product / services within assigned Software portfolio.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Business acumen and deep understanding of business sales processes.
