At Mark43, our mission is to empower communities and their governments with cutting-edge technologies that enhance safety and quality of life for all. We build powerful, scalable, and intuitive software that sets a new standard for the tools first responders rely on every day. Our users are diverse, and we are committed to building a team that reflects and embraces that diversity of thought, background, and experience.
We are looking for a Sales/Solutions Engineer who thrives at the intersection of people, product, and mission. This is a remote role that requires an East Coast residency. If you are someone who lights up in front of a room, can tailor a demo on the fly, and enjoys translating real-world challenges into technical solutions, you will feel right at home here.
In this role, you will be a core member of the Sales team, partnering with Account Executives, Product, Engineering, and Tech Services to drive successful outcomes for prospective and existing customers. You will help public safety agencies understand not just what Mark43 does, but how it can transform their operations.
What You Will Do
- Lead in-person and virtual product demonstrations that bring our technology to life for law enforcement, fire, and emergency agencies.
- Customize technical discussions to meet the needs of both command staff and front-line users.
- Collaborate with Sales to uncover and qualify agency needs and craft the right solution strategy.
- Serve as a bridge between sales, deployment, and product teams to ensure technical accuracy and alignment.
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and vendor questionnaires with a focus on clarity, compliance, and value articulation.
- Communicate Mark43’s technical architecture, integrations, and deployment readiness confidently and clearly.
- Capture technical requirements and guide integration conversations during the handoff to Deployment teams.
- Assist in identifying and resolving technical risks or blockers early in the sales cycle.
- Inform the product roadmap with feedback from the field.
- Stay in sync with Engineering and Product teams to represent what is possible now, what is coming, and what is needed.
What You Will Bring
- 5 or more years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, sales engineering, or demo-heavy SaaS role.
- Experience working with government or public safety clients (experience with CAD or RMS is a strong plus).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort presenting to diverse audiences, including CIOs, city IT leaders, and sworn officers.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes, including responding to RFPs and RFIs.
- Technical writing skills for developing proposals, documentation, and demo narratives.
- Experience structuring and leading live product demonstrations.
- Self-starter mindset with excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel 50 to 80 percent to meet customers and lead field engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Safety, or equivalent experience.
What You Can Expect From Us
- The opportunity to contribute to meaningful, mission-driven work that directly supports first responders and the communities they serve.
- A collaborative team that values clarity, trust, and shared success.
- Ownership over your work with the autonomy to drive results in the field.
- A supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages learning and growth.
- Career development opportunities within a growing, nationally recognized company.
- Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
