About this role:

As a Sales Engineer at Liftoff, you'll help leading advertisers navigate the fast-changing world of mobile marketing – where privacy regulations, performance expectations, attribution and measurement frameworks are constantly evolving. You’ll demystify these complexities and deliver actionable technical guidance that drives advertiser success.

You will serve as a trusted technical partner to clients, collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations. Ideal candidates bring a blend of technical fluency, strategic thinking, and client-facing confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic technical advisor on measurement, attribution, and performance optimization.
  • Lead full-cycle Sales Engineering efforts: discovery, solution design, objection handling, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Translate technical product features and data flows into clear, actionable narratives for clients.
  • Support product rollouts and strategic initiatives in close collaboration with internal teams.
  • Oversee technical implementations, including setup, customization, and configuration.
  • Educate clients via training sessions and workshops on platform best practices and industry trends.
  • Surface client feedback to inform product improvements and innovation opportunities.
  • Stay current with evolving AdTech trends (e.g., SKAN, MMPs, MMM, Ghost Ads, cross-channel attribution).
  • Use SQL to investigate data anomalies and performance trends, building trust through technical depth.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical role within the AdTech ecosystem (DSP, SSP, agency, or ad serving platform).
  • Solid problem-solving skills and systems-level thinking; able to dive deep and troubleshoot complex flows.
  • Skilled at clearly translating complex technical concepts for both technical and business audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and data analysis.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and navigating technical objections.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical discipline (or equivalent experience).

Location:

This role is in any of our entities in the Pacific Standard Zone: CA, OR, NV and WA.

We are a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City and Los Angeles.

Travel Expectations:

We offer several opportunities for in-person team gatherings, including but not limited to project meetings, regional meetups, and company-wide events. We expect our employees to attend these gatherings at least once per quarter. These gatherings provide essential opportunities for collaboration, communication, and team building.
