Job Description :

Storyful is the world’s leading social and narrative intelligence company, helping organizations understand how narratives form, spread and shape reputation, trust and stakeholder behavior in real time.

As Storyful enters its next phase of growth alongside Dow Jones, we are expanding our enterprise reputation intelligence capabilities through Dow Jones Reputation Radar - a next-generation intelligence platform powered by Storyful and Factiva.

Dow Jones Reputation Radar helps communications and corporate affairs leaders move beyond monitoring and sentiment dashboards to understand:

  • which narratives are gaining traction,
  • who is driving legitimacy and amplification,
  • where reputational pressure is likely to build next,
  • and what actions organizations should take in response.

This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape the commercial growth of a category-defining reputation intelligence business.

The Role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially sophisticated Sales Director, New Business & Strategic Growth to help establish Dow Jones Reputation Radar as a leader in the emerging reputation intelligence category.

You will be responsible for building market awareness, creating pipeline, developing strategic client relationships, and converting enterprise opportunities with organizations operating at the intersection of communications, corporate affairs, public affairs, reputation, risk, and executive leadership.

This is a senior, quota-carrying sales role with responsibility for generating pipeline, developing strategic relationships, and closing enterprise opportunities.

Success requires a consultative approach: the ability to navigate complex buying environments, engage credibly with senior stakeholders, and translate Dow Jones Reputation Radar's capabilities into clear commercial and strategic value for clients.

You will take a lead role in driving demand generation and market development, partnering closely with marketing on campaigns, thought leadership, events, and executive engagement initiatives. You will also work cross-functionally with product, intelligence, and commercial teams to bring customer insight into positioning, go-to-market execution, and the ongoing evolution of the offering.

The ideal candidate combines experience in enterprise business development with an understanding of communications, reputation, media intelligence, public affairs, advisory services, or decision intelligence platforms. They are comfortable operating in high-growth environments, helping build markets for emerging products and services while developing trusted relationships with senior decision-makers.

This role offers a rare opportunity to help define how organizations operationalize reputation intelligence while leveraging the combined capabilities, reach, and credibility of Storyful, Dow Jones, and News Corp.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build pipeline and drive enterprise growth for Dow Jones Reputation Radar across priority sectors including financial services, healthcare, technology, energy, and consumer brands.
  • Partner closely with marketing to support demand generation, executive engagement programs, thought leadership initiatives, industry events, and category creation activities that generate market awareness and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop strategic relationships with senior communications, corporate affairs, marketing, public affairs, policy, and executive stakeholders across target accounts.
  • Own complex enterprise sales cycles from opportunity identification and solution development through negotiation, contracting, and close.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, translating market feedback, buyer insights, and competitive intelligence into recommendations for product strategy, positioning, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market execution.
  • Operate as a consultative advisor to clients, helping organizations understand and respond to evolving narrative, reputational, and stakeholder dynamics through Storyful's intelligence capabilities.
  • Represent Storyful and Dow Jones at executive forums, industry events, and strategic client engagements.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity tracking within Salesforce.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 7+ years experience in enterprise B2B growth, strategic sales or business development roles.
  • Strong understanding of the communications, corporate affairs, reputation, public affairs, media intelligence, or marketing technology ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior enterprise stakeholders and navigate complex buying groups.
  • Experience selling enterprise technology, SaaS, or information services solutions through a consultative, intelligence-led sales approach. The ideal candidate will have experience combining platform sales with advisory or strategic solution selling, helping senior stakeholders navigate complex business challenges rather than executing purely transactional sales motions.
  • Experience operating within startup, scale-up, venture-backed, or entrepreneurial commercial environments.
  • Demonstrated success building pipeline, generating demand, and creating commercial momentum for emerging products, services, or categories.
  • Strong executive communication, storytelling, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and helping shape commercial infrastructure as the business evolves.
  • Experience managing multinational or cross-market enterprise relationships is advantageous.
  • Existing relationships within communications, corporate affairs, media, public affairs, policy, or enterprise brand ecosystems are a plus.
About the Team

You will join a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial team spanning intelligence, product, marketing and commercial leadership across Storyful and Dow Jones. The culture is ambitious, fast-moving and highly strategic, with a strong emphasis on innovation, client partnership and building differentiated intelligence capabilities for the market.
