Sales Director, Mega Fleets

What We Need

As a Sales Director with Element, you impact the financial success of the business through the ability to secure new business. This role will focus on closing multi-year contracts encompassing both finance and services for large-scale businesses in Fortune 500 companies, generating an average of $2.5 million in annual revenue, minimum of 1-2 clients per year. You will work diligently to cultivate relationships with Fortune 500 C-suite executives that result in solving their fleet management challenges and adding value to their bottom line. 

This role will work collaboratively with internal teams, specifically with account management, professional and operational services to ensure a successful sales hand-off/client implementation.

This role is vital to the company’s overall growth strategy.  To be successful in this role, candidate must have a deep understanding of enterprise selling, fleet and/or equipment finance and services, articulating a strong value proposition, sales operational expertise, and superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a new business development is required.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant business and commercial experience in large enterprise fleet sales
  • Experience with fleet/financial/asset-based industry is preferred
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written), influencing and relationship building skills
  • Experience and past success selling into the C-suite, especially Finance, Procurement and Operations/Logistics of large, hierarchical corporations
  • A solid understanding of leasing, interest rates, finance related legal terms, and alternative financing.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of closing
  • Strong customer centric focus with services approach

  • Must be a result-oriented, self-starter with high energy and the ability to initiate and drive activities independently and reliability
  • Ability to manage origination volume and service opportunities
  • Must be able to successfully navigate internal resources and externally with complex organizations. 
  • Work with a high degree of urgency and willingly accept responsibility and accountability for growth
  • Continue to build and strengthen existing relationships, with particular emphasis on mapping out key decision makers and devising plans on how to gain access.
  • Continually keep the business informed of pipeline detail and changes through salesforce.com

The hiring base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $137,500 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
