We're Agora, an early-stage Fintech startup based in NY on a mission to revolutionize the way Real Estate firms and investors manage their capital. Our Investment Management software help companies raise and preserve more capital by automating their back-office operations, increasing their investors' satisfaction, and providing them with advanced tools for better marketing efforts.

As a Sales Development Specialist at Agora, you’ll be the first point of contact for our most important leads—those who've already shown interest in our solutions. Your role is to qualify these leads quickly, understanding their needs and ensuring they’re the right fit for our sales team. You’ll engage with them directly, effectively communicating our value proposition and addressing any questions or concerns that arise. This role is crucial to achieving our aggressive growth targets. A growth mindset, resilience, adaptability, and a focus on finding creative solutions will be key to your success in this position.

A Typical Day Looks Like:

  • Qualify and Engage with High-Value Leads: You’ll be the first touchpoint for leads that have already shown interest—these are not just any leads, they’re the ones that could drive our next major win. Your job is to qualify them quickly and ensure they’re the right fit for our solutions, setting the stage for a strong relationship.
  • Speed Drives Success: The faster you respond, the better our chances of converting. Your quick, well-crafted outreach will determine whether we secure the lead or miss out. This role is about taking immediate action and making an impact right from the first interaction.
  • Collaborate with Sales to Close the Loop: You won’t just pass leads down the funnel—you’ll work closely with the Sales team, ensuring smooth handoffs and joining important meetings to ensure the momentum keeps building. Your role is essential in pushing prospects through to the next stage.
  • Partner with Marketing to Refine the Process: You’ll provide critical insights to the Marketing team about the quality of leads and trends you’re seeing. This partnership ensures we’re always improving how we attract and engage prospects, so we can consistently drive high-quality opportunities.
  • Own the CRM Process: Keeping the CRM accurate and updated is key. You’ll track every interaction, ensuring that data flows smoothly across the team and nothing falls through the cracks. Precision here sets the foundation for successful sales

Growth and Continuous Learning: This role will challenge you to continuously sharpen your skills. You’ll participate in ongoing training and coaching, staying ahead of industry trends and helping us refine our approach as a team. Your growth is directly tied to the growth of the company.

You'll Be A Great Fit For This Role If You:

  • Hardworking, committed, and driven to succeed, develop, and grow.
  • Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Articulate and persuasive, able to represent yourself and the organization effectively.
  • Skilled at connecting with strangers and building relationships.
  • Well-organized with strong time management capabilities.
  • Analytical and data-driven in your approach.
  • Experienced in using sales development platforms, which would be an advantage.
