As the Sales Development Representative for SchoolStatus, you will be responsible for obtaining new business opportunities for the sales team’s pipeline and achieving continued growth for the Company. You will uncover qualified opportunities via consistent prospecting of segmented accounts in a relevant and personalized manner. You will utilize lead qualification standards (Budget, Authority, Need/Pain, Timeline) to ensure the quality of the lead. This position will have ownership of the Mississippi sales territory, with preference to candidates based in Mississippi or with prior experience covering the state.
The impact you'll have:
- Strategize and collaborate with the Sales team to identify target accounts and refine messaging strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive research on target accounts to identify missing data and personalization opportunities.
- Capture, manage, and analyze data metrics within Salesforce CRM systems to drive informed decision-making.
- Integrate marketing content and buyer intent data into prospecting activities to enhance engagement and conversion rates.
- Utilize Outreach sequences to streamline prospecting tasks and maintain organized workflows.
- Implement Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and omnichannel methods to engage with multiple personas across diverse channels.
- Meet or exceed prospecting activity KPIs (Sequencing, Calls, Videos, LinkedIn, Emails)
- Align with the defined sales development team process for prospecting, hosting discovery calls, and passing qualified leads to Sales.
- Nurture and track accounts showing promise for future pipeline development, prioritizing inbound leads and effectively managing and qualifying leads generated by Marketing.
- Drive event attendance through proactive outreach and follow-up, converting event leads into qualified opportunities.
- Participate in team prospecting challenges, continuous improvement sessions, and LinkedIn posting activities.
- Share proven techniques and best practices with sales development team members to foster collective growth and success.
What you'll bring:
- One year of experience prospecting for a SaaS organization
- Proficient in Salesforce and Outreach Sales Engagement Platform
- Enthusiastic, reliable, goal-driven, and independent self-starter with strong organizational and creative thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed and work as an individual contributor as well as part of a team
- Ability to meet or exceed quotas
- Familiarity with Drift or Vidyard for Video Prospecting is a plus
- Preferably located in Mississippi or previous responsibility for the Mississippi sales territory.

The range below is the base pay. This role is eligible for base + variable commission
