We’re seeking a proactive and high-energy Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our fast-growing Sales team. This is a critical frontline role responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through outbound prospecting and lead follow-up.
As an SDR, you’ll represent SBT’s first impression with potential clients. You’ll work closely with Account Executives and Marketing to build a robust pipeline of qualified prospects through strategic outreach, customized messaging, and thoughtful engagement. This role is ideal for someone who is competitive, coachable, and looking to launch or accelerate a career in technology sales.
Position Objectives
In this role, you will:
- Generate qualified leads through multi-channel outbound outreach — including cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, video messages, SMS, and more.
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads to qualify opportunities.
- Conduct thorough research on target accounts and personas to craft personalized outreach that resonates with decision-makers.
- Schedule and coordinate discovery calls or product demos for Account Executives.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to refine outreach strategies, messaging, and account-based campaigns.
- Maintain accurate activity and prospect records in HubSpot and Salesforce, and consistently meet or exceed activity and conversion metrics.
- Share market insights and feedback with the broader sales and product teams to help refine positioning and go-to-market strategies.
Competencies and Experience
- 1–2+ years of experience in a sales development, business development, or lead generation role in a B2B environment.
- Background in SaaS, fintech, payments, or communications technology is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in a metrics-driven, high-volume outbound sales environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for storytelling and value articulation.
- Ability to research, identify, and connect with the right stakeholders in target accounts.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- A positive, growth-oriented mindset and a passion for starting or growing a career in sales.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows and team planning sessions (domestic U.S. only).
