A Day in the Life and the Impact You’ll Make:

DEKRA North America is currently looking for an individual to join our team in a business-to-business sales development role. The Sales Development Representative in this position will be tasked with identifying and qualifying prospects (both inbound and outbound); along with creating, maintaining, and expanding relationships with clients of the organization. Daily prospecting and proactive sales engagement are essential duties. Success in this role will be based on prospect qualification, opportunity creation, and revenue generation with new and existing clients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment by actively participating, taking responsibility, and following established procedures and policies.  
  • Lead development and qualification of inbound/assigned prospects
  • Proactive/outbound prospecting via research, networking, cold calling and collaboration with sales
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM for lead-to-opportunity management and activity tracking
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain and/or expand sales within an assigned territory
  • Interface with the customer to understand the customer's overall objectives and requirements
  • Contribute to the quarterly and annual business forecasting by providing account trends and sharing future client needs

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
  • CRM & Microsoft Office suite experience required
  • Experience in professional services sales development is a plus
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Hunter mentality to cold call prospects proactively
  • Ability to resolve complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills to influence managers and negotiate with customers
  • Knowledge of strategic planning skills and ability to translate corporate and business unit goals and objectives into realistic marketing and sales plan
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player

Physical Considerations:

  • Ability to work in a general office environment
  • Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work, including telephone
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed
  • Ability to lift 25-50lbs (luggage)

Travel Considerations:

  • Domestic US and Canadian travel, estimated less than 25%

What You’ll Receive for the Value You Bring:

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is $55,000 annually to $65,000 annually. This position is designated as commission-eligible, subject to plan terms and conditions. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
